CPA Accounts
Introduction
Business Personal Property includes all the assets that are used in the Business-like furniture, fixture, office and industrial equipment, machinery, supplies, tools etc. For each Business, there exists a Business Account which contains Business Type, Owner Name, DBA Information and assets related to that Business. Every year Business Account should file Renditions.
Some Business who doesn’t want to send renditions directly to County, they will contact CPA’s. A CPA is a certified public accountant. CPA's choose to have their own accounting firm and may focus on assisting small businesses with their accounting systems, financial statements, income tax returns, tax planning, investment decisions, etc. CPA plays an important role in protecting the company's financial conditions.
CPA should create a Main Account with details. Small Business or individual Businesses contact CPA’s to maintain their account information, Tax Filling, preparing and analyzing financial reports etc. CPA’s will create sub Accounts for all the businesses who wants to maintain their Business accounts. And Business owner’s will share the details like asset information to CPA’s. CPA’s should file renditions to all the Sub Accounts.
Generally, renditions can be applied through online/offline. If a Business owner wants to file rendition through online, County should send Pin no. to individual accounts. Owner will access the Portal and file renditions. The Advantage of CPA’s is, renditions can be filed for all the Sub Accounts with one login at once. This avoids login to each individual sub Accounts for filling renditions. After completing rendition through Portal, Assessor will assign those renditions to privileged users for further rendition Processing.
This document will guide the user, to create CPA account, adding sub accounts and Managing the accounts.
Login
First login as Privileged User to Create CPA Account.
Hover over PERSONAL PROPERTY > CPA'S, which will redirect to PP CPAs page.
Creating CPA Accounts
In PP CPAs page, for Adding CPA account, click on Add hyper link, which redirect to CPA Details Page.
In CPA Details page, Enter the Company details, like Company Name, Division, contact name, email Id Address etc. and then Click on Add button.
Note: While creating CPA account, it is important to provide the Company Contact details correctly.
After clicking on Add button, A CPA account (Master Account) will be created and which will be shown under PP CPAs page.
When User click on Master Name hyper link of respective CPA account, which redirect to CPA DASHBOARD.
In CPA Dashboard, under General Info tab CPA Details will be shown. When User click on Generate button the CZ Password will be shown here.
After clicking on Generate button CZ Password will be shown as below.
Under Sub Accounts tab, User can create sub accounts by clicking on Add hyper link.
Here, enters the Personal property account no. for which User wants to Create as sub account by clicking on Add Account button.
The Added Respective Sub Accounts will be shown here.
Note: While adding subaccount no. which is already added to another CPA, then it throws a Popup message: ‘This Parcel already has a CPA firm’ as shown below.
The Privileged User Can Remove the existing sub accounts which are no longer existing or in case wrongly entered details by selecting the respective account and click on Remove hyper link.
User can Export the sub accounts using Export hyper link.
Verify the Master Account Audit Trail for Account Creation.
Verify the Sub accounts Audit trails for PP Account Added to CPA FIRM with company Details.
CPA - Citizen Access Portal
After Creating the sub accounts, go to the Citizen Access Portal. Click on Personal Property hyper link.
After clicking on Personal property link, which redirect to PP related logins page. Click on CPA Login here.
In CPA login page, the CPA Accountant should enter the Email Address and Pin details and click on Access button. Which was generated while creating Master Account.
Once the CPA Accountant logins, it shows all the sub accounts which was added in Master Account. The CPA Accountant should select the respective subaccount for which the rendition should file, using Manage hyper link.
Agree to the Legal terms by checking Accept.
Note: Here, Filing Rendition online for each subaccount is same as individual online rendition process.
CPA Accountant Will Update any Business Information, General Information, DBA Information, Owner Information and click on Update.
Click on Add Item or Delete Item at the top of the page to add or delete any items. Click on ADD ITEM hyper link.
After clicking on Add Item hyperlink, fill the respective information and click on Add button. Then the status of the item becomes NEW.
The Added New Item is shown below.
Click on the Item Id hyperlink to update any items. After making respective changes, click on Update. Then status of the item becomes UPDATED.
To delete any item, check mark item and click on Delete. After deleting, status of the item will become “DELETED’.
Note: The user can also upload the items list by exporting the items list, make changes and import back into the system.
To use the Export feature to update, delete, or add items, click on Export, make changes and save the file as .CSV extension to a specific location, click on Browse button to locate the .CSV file and click on Import button. After Import successfully, it will show Upload Successful.
After adding all the items, click on Complete Rendition link.
Here, check mark “I hereby affirm” box and click on Continue.
Enter the items marked as [Mandatory] and click on Complete.
Click OK to Confirm the Rendition Complete.
Then Click OK to get confirmation through mail or text message or call.
Completing Online Rendition in Capture
To complete the Online rendition in Capture, Login as privileged user (PP Supervisor/ user) who can assign renditions.
Hover over ONLINE RENDITIONS and click on UNASSIGNED
Choose the Tax Year, click on Go.
Check mark the case and click on Assign to respective User.
Login as respective user to whom the renditions were assigned.
Hover over Online Renditions and click on My Renditions.
Click on Account Link will open Business personal property dashboard.
Click on Online – Rendition and then Click Apply – Rendition button if all the information is correct.
Verification:
Click the Items tab to view the updated information.
Note: If the item doesn’t contain any value initially, select the record and click on Regenerate link to generate values.
Verify Property Card after applying Rendition. Here rendition status will become RECEIVED for Filed Online rendition.
Also Verify the CPA Firm linked with Master Account as shown below [Eg. CPA Firm: Bain & Co].

Reports
Reports used for CPA's: This report shows all PP CPAs details and used by user and supervisor.
